Day 26 - Killybegs to Larne drive

Henley took the word "rest" literally after the previous days tiring effort by sleeping through most of our drive back to Larne (4 hours) while Paul battled with his sat nav that seemed want to take us through areas of Strabane and Londonderry that looked like they could easily house strong sectarian beliefs

Henley woke up in time to confuse himself when we stopped for a bite to eat having crossed into Nth Ireland when he presented the wrong currency (euros) for payment - it's not often you sleep through a country / republic

Approaching climb near Sleive League
The rest of the drive in drizzle to Lsrne was uneventful where Paul dropped us right outside out B&B within easy distance of the ferry. To Paul we expressed our gratitude for his terrific effort in organising our Ireland trip and for amazingly driving us to Larne despite then turning around to drive back the same distance + another 4 hours !!!

Having slept through the road trip it didn't take KH long to fall asleep while watching the golf as Larne on a Sunday provided little of interest to us(even Mon-Sat would be questionable)

With so much sleep and an early start planned gor the next day KH was in
need of an early night so after a forgettable dinner where even the soup took 1/2 an hour to receive we opted for an early night

  1. Reckon that Paul just wanted to make sure that you two are out of beautiful Ireland!
