Paul, Kev and Mike after a big climb ! |
1 month down and nearly 2000 kms covered. The bricklayers have been assembling over the last few days and they put up a bloody big wall which I hit a few days ago at Slieve League on the ride to Killybegs Ireland. The day included 1600 metres of climbing and I'm sure there were at least 48363 hills of 20% gradient!
The old bones are starting to creak and groan a bit more each day.
Mike and I have just completed 7 magic days in the emerald isle and some if the scenery from the coast to the Mtns has been special - to match the best of the trip so far
We joined up with Paul Tierney , an Irishman we met on the Tibet trip last year, who somehow expected me to stay in the same county as he and Mike - fat chance ! One of my panniers weighed more than Paul, his bike and his gear combined !
Anyway they need to show more respect to their seniors
Whatever Litchfield publishes on the blog site is totally, utterly, completely and entirely fabricated with not a thread of truth - my lawyers are currently compiling a giant lawsuit which should get his attention when he gets home! I am though open ton-settlement offers
We have 8 days left on the Uk leg with 4 days in the Outer Hebrides which could rip the crutch from my nightie if the wind and rain spring up - anything is possible in this rugged and isolated part of the world
Looking forward to the massed bagpipes of the Edinburgh Tattoo - then it's off to Europe for what's sure to be a brilliant trip with Viv, Linton and Kim.
I do not want to hear anymore reports re the AFL this season has been shelved - comprehende Leedham!
Hope everyone is well and making the most of the 20c temps in Melbourne - that's warmer than here!
Kev, i do not believe for one moment that you have slept during the day. If so, it can only be jet lag - as we get older it takes a little more time to adjust! Hang in there brother!!l
ReplyDeleteGood result this weekend - a bye!!!!
Todays temp: 22 degrees
